George Horton for Pac10 Coach Of The Year Fanclub

Everyone knew his 1st year coaching baseball @ Oregon would be rough and the Ducks finished with a record of 12-22. Not too good.
After the season ended I remember hearing Coach Horton say most of the guys would find a league to play in around the country and that he expected a better group to show up for the 2010 season. After getting in an additional 50+ games each, the better group arrived. Coach Horton & his team have exceeded all expectations. Today the Ducks sit @ 37 wins with 4 games to play. That's right 37 wins! - the most the Ducks had won before Coach Horton arrived was 31 games back in the 80's when Mel Krause was the HC.
It's an amazing turnaround! The Ducks are ranked with a shot at post season play after 1 season and that's why I'm picking Coach Horton as the favorite to win Pac10 Coach of The Year!
No Coach in College Baseball is more deserving.
GO DUCKS
